Morning wild swimming... from hesitation to exhilaration!
Mar 09, 2025Early this morning, I woke up to a slight chill in the air and a mist rolling over the mountains.
I was visiting friends in the countryside for the weekend, and it was the ideal time of day—before the heat set in, when everything still felt fresh and new.
We set off on a walk into the mountains.
At first, we passed a few other walkers and their dogs, but soon, the world became still.
Only the crunch of stones beneath our feet and the hum of insects in the grass filled the air.
About twenty minutes in, we crossed a stream and came to an idyllic bend in the river—perfect for a swim.
My friends wasted no time. They jumped straight in, laughing as they disappeared beneath the surface.
Me? I hesitated.
I’m not a fan of cold water, and the thought of plunging in made me wince.
Instead, I carefully picked my way across the pebbles, dipping my toes in, trying to convince myself it wouldn’t be that bad.
Eventually, I stopped overthinking and just did it.
And it was incredible.
The cool water was refreshing, the view of the mountains overhead breathtaking.
I felt awake, alive, and grateful to be surrounded by such beauty.
That moment made me think—how often do we hesitate before taking the plunge into something new?
Whether in life or business, there’s always that brief moment of fear, that resistance to discomfort.
But what’s waiting on the other side might just be exhilarating.
So, where are you hesitating to take the plunge?
What risk are you avoiding that could lead to something amazing?
Sometimes, stepping into the unknown—whether it’s wild swimming or a bold move in business—is exactly what we need to gain a fresh perspective.
Here’s to taking the plunge into something new!
