Kinds of Love…
Feb 15, 2025
Valentine’s Day is often seen as a celebration of romantic love, sometimes creating pressure to make grand gestures—red roses, chocolates, elaborate surprises.
But love exists in many forms, beyond just romance.
On Friday evenings, I set aside time to be with my parents, usually taking a walk by the sea.
Yesterday, I suggested to my brother that we go to one of our favorite restaurants after the walk.
My mom had invited a visiting couple to join us and was concerned about getting a table, so my brother and I agreed to wait in line while they enjoyed their stroll.
As it turned out, we arrived early, and there was no queue.
The restaurant seated us at the largest table outside, with a beautiful view through an archway toward the sea.
As the evening unfolded, couples and families, dressed in shades of red and vibrant colors, filled the space.
When my parents and their friends arrived, my dad handed out long-stemmed red roses to the ladies—earning instant brownie points for romance from my mother.
Her friend teased her husband that she had not received roses from him, while he just smiled and shrugged good naturedly.
My parents’ friends, now in their 80s, shared stories of their adventures, from scenic local getaways to their travels through small villages in Portugal, where they met up with my parents two years ago.
Their love for life and curiosity about the world was inspiring.
We shared a delicious seafood meal, sampling small plates, including a black rice prawn and calamari dish.
Our friends told us how, historically, black rice was once reserved only for the wealthy—a reminder of how much things can change over time.
As the evening ended, my heart felt full.
Throughout the day, love had shown up in so many ways.
In the morning, through messages I sent and received from clients, friends, and family...
In the afternoon on a friend's call about Divine love and devotion, and
In the evening in a shared meal on a warm summer's evening with loved ones.
This past week, we wrapped up our 5-Day Challenge on Falling in Love with Your Business Again, and as we close this chapter, I invite you to reflect on the many kinds of love present in your life.
If you feel something is missing, start by appreciating the love you already have.
When you do, you naturally become a magnet for even more love in all its forms.
Business Tips :
1. Rekindle Your Biz Love
Just as love takes different forms, so does your relationship with your business. If the spark feels dim, reconnect with what first inspired you: your mission, your impact, and the joy of serving others. Appreciation has the power to transform and reignite your passion.
2. Embrace an Adventurous Spirit
Approach your business with the same adventurous spirit that makes life exciting. Just like travel and new experiences expand your perspective, stepping outside your comfort zone—trying new strategies, experimenting with offers, or embracing unexpected opportunities—can open doors you never imagined. Stay curious, take inspired risks, and let your business journey be an adventure. 🚀
Hope yesterday and every day is filled with love. 💜
