Brewery Meets Choral Magic! Doing Something Different...
Oct 07, 2024This past Saturday evening, I was invited to a truly unique performance concept: a choir singing in a brewery! It sounded intriguing, so I decided to check it out. When I arrived, the place was packed, with long tables and the smell of hops filling the air. It was a working brewery, with vats of beer in the background as the choir serenaded us with classics and some fun renditions of familiar tunes. Throughout the evening, there were beer tastings and food delivered right to the tables.
The evening was a blast! By the end, we even had a sing-along to a song I remembered from my childhood. I’m not a big beer lover, and only tried a sip or two of the beer tastings, but I’m so glad I decided to try something different that night. I had so much fun, and I’ll definitely look forward to future performances from this choir – especially as we head into the holiday season.
This got me thinking: in life and in business, sometimes it really pays to try something different. The idea could be a huge hit, or maybe it won’t work out as planned – but you’ll never know until you take the leap.
Here are three lessons from that night that can apply to your business:
- Step Outside Your Comfort Zone
Just like I did with the brewery performance, stepping outside your comfort zone can lead to surprising and rewarding experiences. Whether it’s trying a new business strategy or speaking up more, there’s potential for growth when you take that first step.
Experiment with a new idea in your business this week, whether it’s a different approach to marketing or a new offer. Even small changes can open up new possibilities.
- Embrace Unexpected Pairings
A choir in a brewery might sound like an odd combination, but it worked beautifully. Sometimes, mixing things up in your business – combining different skills, ideas, or approaches – can create something truly special.
Look at your business from a fresh perspective. Is there an unexpected collaboration or new angle that could make your services stand out?
- Enjoy the Journey
Even if you’re unsure how something will turn out, enjoy the process. Just like I did with the sing-along at the end of the night, let yourself have fun and see where the experience takes you.
In your business, celebrate each step you take. Even if it’s not perfect, every experience brings valuable lessons – and those lessons will help you grow.
So, my invitation to you this week is to try something new – in your life or in your business. Take a risk, mix things up, and see how it pans out. You might be surprised by the results!
Have an awesome week,
Lenore
